After breakfast, we drive northwest towards Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania's hidden gems. The scenic drive takes you through changing landscapes of acacia woodlands and baobab-dotted plains. Upon arrival, settle into your lodge and embark on an afternoon game drive. Tarangire is world-renowned for its massive elephant populations and ancient baobab trees — some over 1,000 years old. Watch these gentle giants gather around the Tarangire River, and scan for lions, giraffes, and numerous bird species. The park's diverse ecosystem comes alive in the golden afternoon light.

Depart Tarangire and journey towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Along the way, we visit a traditional Maasai boma (village) to meet the pastoralists who have called these highlands home for centuries. Learn about their culture, see their distinctive red clothing and beaded jewellery, and witness a way of life that remains largely unchanged. Late afternoon, we arrive at the crater rim and settle into your lodge positioned on the edge of this geological marvel. As the sun sets, the light bathes the crater floor in gold and amber — a breathtaking sight you'll never forget.

This is your chance to explore one of Africa's greatest natural wonders. After an early breakfast, we descend the 600-metre crater wall into the crater floor — a 19-kilometre-wide caldera that acts as a natural zoo. The ecosystem is remarkably dense: you'll encounter elephants, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, and lions all within a compact area. Remarkably, it's possible to see the Big Five in a single day here. Our guides will navigate the crater floor seeking optimal wildlife viewing. We enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor, surrounded by the amphitheatre of cliffs above. Afternoon game drive to spot more wildlife before ascending the crater wall at day's end.

Today you cross the threshold into the endless Serengeti plains. We drive north and west, gradually leaving the highland forests behind and entering the golden grasslands of the Serengeti ecosystem. The landscape becomes increasingly open and wild. Upon arrival in the Central Serengeti (Seronera area), you'll feel the scale and majesty of this 30,000-square-kilometre park. Settle into your comfortable tented camp, which provides the authentic safari experience while maintaining comfort and safety. Afternoon game drive in the Seronera region, known as big cat territory — lions, leopards, and cheetahs are frequently seen here.
Accommodation: Luxury Tented Camp
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
This day is dedicated entirely to experiencing the Serengeti's raw wildlife drama. Depending on the season, you may witness the migration herds — over two million wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle on their epic annual journey. If timing aligns with the migration's presence in the Serengeti, we'll focus on this spectacle. We'll explore the Mara River area, where dramatic river crossings occur as herds attempt to reach fresh grazing grounds. Alternatively, we'll focus on predator-prey interactions, witnessed from ideal vantage points. Full-day game drives allow deep immersion in the Serengeti's ecosystem. Your guide reads wildlife signs, locates predators, and positions you for optimal viewing. The Serengeti's vastness and the intensity of life here are experiences that transcend description.

We begin with an early morning game drive, a magical time when predators are most active and light is perfect for wildlife viewing. Watch the savannah come alive as lions stir from their night's rest and birds wake to greet the dawn. Mid-morning, we return to camp and prepare for your bush breakfast — a special safari tradition where you'll dine in nature, often with views of the plains stretching to the horizon. After breakfast, we travel to the Seronera airstrip for your light aircraft departure back to Arusha. From the air, the Serengeti's vastness is even more apparent. You'll depart with unforgettable memories and a profound connection to Africa's wild heart.

It depends which phase you want. River crossings in the northern Serengeti peak July-September. Calving season in the southern Serengeti is January-February. The migration is a year-round circular pattern — we can time your visit to the phase that matches your interests.
A minimum of four nights is recommended because the Serengeti is vast and the migration herds move. Six to seven nights is ideal if you want to experience both the main plains and a second camp in a different region.
They're sides of the same ecosystem — the migration crosses between them every year. The Serengeti is much larger and generally has fewer vehicles at sightings outside peak river-crossing weeks. The Mara offers higher concentrations in a more compact area. Many visitors do both.
Yes. Small airstrips inside the park receive daily light-aircraft flights from Arusha, Zanzibar and other Serengeti airstrips. Flying in saves a long drive and gets you on safari immediately.
Dawn balloon flights launch from several locations in the park and drift silently over the plains for about an hour, ending with a champagne bush breakfast. It's one of Africa's most iconic experiences and we can pre-book it as part of your itinerary.
